Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the gifted actors in the Hindi film industry. Recalling his time with Sushant, Kapoor disclosed in a recent interview that the actor was “disturbed” while filming their 2018 film Kedarnath. In a candid revelation, director Abhishek Kapoor recently shared poignant insights into the mental state of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Talking about the actor during his last days while filming Kedarnath, “He was a bit disturbed in those days. He was a solid guy, mentally and physically. He could take on anything. He was a great guy. I think he was finding himself to be very isolated and quite helpless. He was drifting away,” Kapoor said.
The insight shared by Abhishek Kapoor about SSR emphasizes the inner turmoil the actor must be going through, which he decided to battle silently before giving up. This once again proves how Mental Health awareness is critical to everyone.
The director also spoke about the mental health awareness, The filmmaker said, “It just needed to be addressed and I’m glad it got addressed. Just the prevailing scenario and the unabashed manipulation that was going on in the industry through so many forces.”
Despite this, Kapoor praised Sushant’s commitment to his craft, noting how he persevered through difficult shooting conditions, inspiring his co-star Sara Ali Khan.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last days
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June 2020 at his Bandra apartment. The actor committed suicide. After his death, a barrage of allegations against Bollywood’s elite ensued to such an extent that the public collectively decided to ban the industry.
Sushant’s last film was titled Dil Bechara and was released after he passed away. The film also starred Sanjana Sanghi opposite the late actor.
