3 Idiots film which was released in 2009 is still one of the favourite films of the audience. The film stars Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. The story of film is about the friendship of three students at an Indian engineering college and is a satire about the social pressures under the Indian education system.
One of the characters in this movie is Suhas, he played the role of Kareena’s fiancee. His character was obnoxious, and he was portrayed as selfish and materialistic. He received hate from the audience because of that. Recently, on Twitter a user penned a note for Suhas, appreciating the character. The note is, ‘Suhas, I used to laugh at you as a kid, but as I grew up, I realized you were a good man. Losing a 4-lakh rupee watch, for which you had worked tirelessly, would drive anyone crazy. I now understand how it feels when a pair of 400-dollar shoes get dirty. Everyone dreams of earning more money, and you were not wrong in making your career choice.’ To which, many other users have reacted and said they agree with that and they are sorry. Few wrote that all of us have realised it lately, but you were right.
Later the actor Olivier Lafont who played Suhas responded to this and wrote that lately, he has been getting apologies from people for misunderstanding the character he played many years ago and that it’s amazing how much the character and movie had an impact even now. And it’s also nice that Suhas is finally getting some love.
It is good to see that the character which was once misunderstood is getting love from the audience. 3 Idiots is a film which would never fail to entertain the audience.
