Nikhil Siddartha’s latest pan-India film, titled Spy,” directed by Garry BH, stars Iswarya Menon, Sanya Thakur, and Abhinav Gomatam in the main lead roles and is all set to hit theaters on June 29th! The movie’s trailer has been released at last and looks to be the perfect blend of spy thriller and patriotism!
The trailer begins with some glimpses of the general vibe of the film and the introduction of what appears to be the film’s antagonist, ‘Kadhir, and the question of how he is still alive. This is followed by some dialogues in regard to Netaji with mysterious undertones. Adding the emotional element, Nikhil as ‘Jay’ then reveals that he is also on a mission to find his missing brother ‘Subhash’. This is immediately followed by an intense BGM and stylish, high-strung action shots. Ishwarya Menon, the film’s love interest, can be seen adding a little bit of love and intensity to the film.
But the most promising and exciting bit of the entire trailer has to be Rana’s cameo, with him answering the question “So the person who gave India independence is…?” with “Independence is not something that is given; it is something that is taken; this is not what I said; it is what Netaji stated”. There seems to be an exciting mystery element surrounding Subash Chandrabose and his role in the fight for independence.
This genre of patriotic thrillers is quite new and a breath of fresh air! June 29th can’t get here soon enough!
