Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her businessman husband Anand Ahuja are planning to host football legend David Beckham. The former footballer is currently in the city to fulfill his responsibilities as the ambassador of UNICEF.
The former football legend will be in India for a three-day tour. International Cricket Council and UNICEF have joined forces to empower women and girls and promote gender equality through the game of cricket. India is playing with New Zealand today at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
David Beckham is said to be among the VVIP attendees of the significant semi-final match between them. According to an anonymous source, “David Beckham is in India for his UNICEF commitment as a Global Ambassador and he will be meeting Sonam and Anand during his trip to Mumbai.”
The Bollywood couple are also said to have invited other prominent figures in the city to a dinner at their home. The source added that “Sonam and Anand are big entrepreneurs with Anand being at the top with a business empire and Sonam considered as Bollywood royalty and global fashion icon.”
