Mallika Rajput dead
Singer-actress Mallika Rajput who co-starred with Kangana Ranaut in the film Revolver Rani was found dead at her residence in Sultanpur.
Sultanpur’s popular singer and actress Vijay Lakshmi aka Malika Rajput has died by suicide under suspicious circumstances. Her body was found hanging in the room of her residence. The local police have begun the investigations in the case after sending the body for post-mortem.
Even though no suicide note has yet been found, the police are examining the case as though it were a suicide. According to the authorities, there is currently no indication of foul play, and no formal complaint has been filed on the situation. An officer stated that the post-mortem report is being awaited.
“My daughter Vijay Laxmi, who is known in Bollywood as Mallika Rajput, was not only an actor but a versatile artist… a singer, poet, and writer,” the woman’s father Babban Singh said to The Indian Express. “She had collaborated with Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut on the 2014 movie Revolver Rani,” he continued. She had also written a book about well-known politicians.
Sultanpur Superintendent of Police Somen Barma stated that the investigation report would be used to decide the next steps. “When the woman’s body was discovered, her mother and other family members were inside the Sitakund home. As of right now, the family has not made any accusations against anyone, a police officer stated.
