Bollywood star kid and Jacki Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff debuted in 2014 with the Telugu remake film Heropanti but has yet to perform well. The action-hero till now didn’t have any significant blockbuster hit films. Apart from Hrithik Roshan’s War, he had no major blockbuster hits in his nine-year film career.
From Heropanti to War, he mainly focused on his six-pack and action sequences rather than good performance. He had a terrible screen presence as he only focused on his physique and dance. In every film, he focused only on his stunts and barely acted. The time changed after COVID-19, and now the audiences are focused on the content and the performances. He only does dance, Martial arts and action sequences, which need more for this trend. He must upskill his acting skills as he often lacks screen presence in every film. The star kid has not delivered a promising performance in his nine-year film career.
Most of his films are Telugu remakes and had only two hits, War and Baaghi; other films like Heropanti, Aflying Jatt, Munna Michel, Baaghi 2, Student of the Year, Heropanti 2, Baaghi 3 and Heropanti 2 films barely grossed breakeven. All these films have a similar story and action sequences, which show his body physique. His action sequences dominate the story, which is not a good sign as audiences expect content and performance.
His upcoming action film, Ganapath, will be released on 20th October. Despite being directed by Bollywood critically acclaimed director Vikas Bahl and having a star cast like Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and national award-winning actress Kriti Sanon, it doesn’t have any hype. There is no new content in the trailer, and it seems so much like his previous films like the Baaghi franchise and the Heropanti franchise. There needs to be more than identical action sequences in the new trend.
His lack of screen presence and diversified filmography is the primary reason for his flops. He needs to upskill his acting, as the audience deserves much better. He is the most overrated Bollywood actor of recent times. He should come out of his comfort zone and focus on acting with other genre films and more diversified stories.
