Sukhee….
Shilpa Shetty who took break from films for an year is now all set to make her comeback with Sukhee. After the poster is released, makers have directly unveiled the trailer on Wednesday night.
Sukhee narrates about the story of Sukhee(Shilpa Shetty), a married woman who devoted her life to her family doing domestic duties living with her working husband, school going daughter and sick father in law. She decided to change her life when she gets an invitation of her school reunion and decides to go Delhi even after her husband says no.
At the trailer launch event held in Mumbai, the actress revealed that she decided to decline the movie as her mental health is not so good and producer Vikram Malhotra waited for eight months before she finally came on board.
The Baazigar actress said, when they approached with the script, I wasn’t in my right mind and suggested two to three other actress names who would be a good cast but producer said whenever I’m ready, film will go onto the floors and waited eight months for my call.
Shilpa’s businessman husband Raaj Kundra who read the script when the actress is not at home. When Shilpa said it’s a beautiful film but I’m not ready for this for which Raaj replied ae you Crazy? You have to do this film! He convinced me to take up the film saying there’s Sukhee in all of us.
Sukhee starring Shilpa Shetty in the lead role also stars Kusha Kapila, Amit Sadh, Chaitanya Chaudhary, and Kiran Kumar. This also marks the directorial debut of Sonal Joshi and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Malhotra. Movie is all set to release in theatres on September 22.
