Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan, earned around Rs 2.85 crores net on its fourteenth day in Hindi, bringing the film’s total earnings to Rs 133 crores after 14 days. The second-week collections were around Rs 40 crores, indicating a consistent theatrical hold following a week one collection of around Rs 92.50 crores. If Salaar can hold its ground until the release of Fighter, it could end up doing a serious business worth more than Rs 150 crores net.
Salaar in Hindi collided with Dunki, and thus the business done is very commendable. Based on the matching of expectations, the performance in Hindi is the best of all the versions that it has been released in. The Prabhas-Prashanth Neel film has now grossed over Rs 400 crores in India, with a global total of slightly more than Rs 650 crores. While it is the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2023, its theatrical performance is slightly lower than what was initially expected. The correct way to put it is that the film did well, but it did not live up to the expectations placed on it.
