Katrina Kaif is preparing for the release of Merry Christmas, in which she co-stars with Vijay Sethupathi. The film’s trailer has already gotten a lot of attention on social media from fans. The filmmakers held a press conference in Mumbai today, January 4, ahead of the film’s release.
In a recent conversation, one reporter referred to Katrina’s Tiger 3 character Zoya as “just a glamor doll.” The actress was taken aback by the statement, but she responded forcefully. She said ‘Zoya is one of the strongest characters’. A member of the media asked the actress what it was like to play a “nuanced character,” as opposed to “just a glamour role” in her previous film, Maneesh Sharma’s 2023 spy thriller Tiger 3.
“Perhaps I see things a little differently,” Katrina responded. I believe Zoya is one of the most powerful characters I’ve ever had the opportunity to play. Maneesh Sharma’s writing was especially nuanced and well-written in Tiger 3. I had a great time portraying that character.”
