Popular American singer Rihanna, turned business mogul with the fan-favorite brand, ‘Fenty’ and ‘Savage X Fenty’ has apparently decided to step down from the role. Rhianna who began her makeup line ‘Fenty’ on 8 September 2017 and expanded into lingerie on 11 May 2018 with ‘Savage X Fenty’, has received nothing but success and adoration over the years, yet she has decided to relinquish the role of CEO for Savage X Fenty after over 5 years.
Latest reports published by Vogue Business state that though Rihanna has now decided to step down as the CEO she will continue as the brand’s Executive Chairman and Hillary Super will replace her as the brand’s new CEO. “It has been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry incredibly over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer,” said Rihanna in her statement to Vogue. She went on to add “I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO. She is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level,”.
It is assumed that this decision was due to her recent second pregnancy with long-term partner ASAP Rocky, it is rumored that the “work” singer wishes to prioritize the role of ‘mother’ at the current moment.
