Raj Kundra – famous in B-town for being Shilpa Shetty‘s husband – is a businessman, currently the director and CEO of a UK-based company TradeCorp Limited. The Thumka Queen’s husband was in the news from 2019 to 2021, for inappropriate reasons. Raj Kundra was arrested by the police on July 19, 2021 for illegally involving in the production and distribution of pornographic content via an app called Hotshots.
Exactly two years later, the sources say that a movie about his 63 days in the jail is currently in the works. Cast, production, director, nothing has been officially announced it. However, sources are hardly ever wrong. To speak about the porn case in detail, “One year today… released from Arthur Road. It’s a matter of time. Justice will be served! The truth will be out soon! Thank you well-wishers and a bigger thank you to the trollers you make me stronger,” was Kundra’s statement on social media, implying he considers himself not guilty and that the one who dragged him into this scandal will be caught soon for his/her publicity stunt and attempt to defamation.
“The film will present an account of all that Raj Kundra experienced through his tenure in one of most over-crowded Jail – Arthur Road Jail. The director’s name has been kept under wraps for now, but Raj Kundra will be creatively involved in all aspects – from production to script,” is all that’s known so far.
Back when the news broke out, Shilpa Shetty and her husband were constantly trolled and abused in their DMs and comments. For Shilpa Shetty, it was a traumatic incident to recover from, where the entire internet dragged her into the public shaming because of her husband. She broke her silence in 2021 and said, “MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity ‘Never complain, never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary.”
