Richa Chadha who is being applauded for her performance in Heeramandi has performed incredibly in various films, namely Ram Leela which is also a Sanjay Leela Bhanshali’s directorial.
In one of the previous interviews, Richa Chadha shared that she was approached to play the role of Hrithik Roshan’s mother. Richa Chadha who has been proving herself as an actress for over a decade, shares a ridiculous offer she received from the makers of one of the hit films of Hrithik Roshan, in an interview that has created buzz lately.
Richa Chadha asserted,” I got a random call, from a random casting director, who hardly even seen Gangs Of Wasseypur, when we were still shooting, he knew what I looked like, but they called me to play something really ridiculous.” She further added, “Hrithik Roshan’s mother in Agneepath, and I was like, “Do you know what I look like, I am just gonna click a photo and send it to you. Please don’t do this with me.”, leaving netizens dumbfounded as they witness how outsiders in the industry are treated compared to that of the insiders who come from film families.
Richa Chadha appeared in hit films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Section 374, and Masaan, and in the recent OTT release Heeramandi where she played the role of Lajjo. Lajjo’s dance performance has been hailed since Heeramandi’s release. The actress revealed that the perfect shot the audience is witnessing has taken her 99 takes. Richa Chadha also shared that she is not used to alcohol but had to get drunk for one of the scenes to make it look realistic.
The incredible actress has recently announced that she and her actor husband Ali Fazal about their production house. Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are currently producing 6 films through their production house, Pushing Buttons Studios.
