Raj Kundra spent 2-3 months in jail for the porn-racket case in 2021. He was reported to be also involved in spot-fixing and illegal practices in his investment plan.
Kundra in a recent interview upon being asked, how he felt during his tough period and if he was concerned about how his close ones and the kids thought wrong of him?”, he took to stated, “Of course, like I said, the trail by media was just on another level. A lot of media had already decided that Raj was guilty before the court announced me guilty, not guilty.”.

UT 69 happens to be his first directorial and the actor. UT 69 is reported to be based on his life in jail, while some claim it is Kudra’s biopic. His first film is set to hit the theatre on 3 November 2023.
