Priyamani shares how casting differs in North and South
Priyamani took to state that film casting is the major difference between North and South Cinema. The Jawaan fame actress shared, “Here you have casting directors call and tell you that there is a project, if not the Whatsapp messages are currently very famous these days, and if say yes, then the process continues. In the South it is a one-on-one approach, maybe the manager, director, or producer. The production managers’ roles differ in the South and North they have different responsibilities. The casting director takes care of the casting process.”
Work Culture in North and South:
Priyamani also shared that the work culture is different in North and South. “Unlike the South, I am not complaining, here you have a dedicated team who works on a specific task, whereas that is not the case over there, irrespective of budget. In 2002 there was nothing like a separate department that worked for costumes, so here you have a costume department that works on styling so a female will come and help you with that, taking care of the inclined tasks. I have my stylist there who works for me and is a male, again I am not complaining, he is doing his work, and everyone is trying to help in some way to get the work done in the South, whereas every department takes care of their work here.”
Priyamani is part of a casting agency:
An insider has recently shared that Priyamani is part of a casting agency set in Hyderabad and the casting agency takes care of her films and artistic work both in the north and south. The insider also that Priyamani has moved out of the company due to a lack of project offers provided to her.
