PS 1 also known as Ponniyan Selvan by Mani Ratnam was a sensational blockbuster all over the languages with stars like Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachan, Sobhita Dhulipala, Trisha, and many other famous faces of the industry played a crucial role in the film. PS 1 is reported to have made more than 400 crores and the 2nd part is going to hit the theatres on April 28th, 2023.
Recently, there were rumors that the film has failed to get Telugu distributors. Though the film was directed exceptionally, one of the actors of the film during an interview at the PS 1’s promotions revealed that it would be difficult for the Telugu audience to relate to the film. The film did well in the original language but did not perform well in Hindi and Telugu states.
The first part serves as an example, to explain that it’s the audience who decides what is a good film and what is not. The impression of how well the second part does can be judged only after the release of the first look of PS 2. The latest update from the makers is, Ponniyan Selvan’s part 2 first single is set to be out at 6 pm on March 20, 2023.
