Pankaj Tripathi reveals that many real-life gangsters approached him after Gangs of Wasseypur release!

Bollywood’s critically acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi played the role of criminal Sultan Qureshi in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. In a recent conversation, the Mirzapur actor spoke about the impact of the film’s success.

Pankaj Tripathi is one of the most successful and celebrated actors working in Bollywood right now. The gifted actor is busy promoting his upcoming political drama film, Main Atal Hoon. In a recent conversation, the actor revealed being approached by real-life gangsters after the film came out.

Pankaj Tripathi recently appeared on Aap Ki Adalat, where he spoke about Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. He said that he was approached by many real-life gangsters after the film’s success. The actor said, “Many gangsters approached me. At that time, many gangsters in North and South India started thinking of me as their idol.”

The Mirzapur actor revealed that real gangsters liked the character of Sultan Qureshi in the film. He said, “They thought Sultan does what he says in the film, and he also has a good character in the film. So, they started liking Sultan a lot. “Many writers after that, who would come to narrate stories to me, would be scared that I would take out a knife from my pocket.”

He will next be seen in the biographical political drama film Main Atal Hoon, based on the life of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, directed by Rishi Vrrmanu. The film is all set to hit theaters on January 19.
