OTT rate of SRK’s film other than Jawan shocks audience

After the film ‘Zero’ disaster in 2019, Shah Rukh Khan, who has been away from films for three years, bounced back with Pathan and has bagged stupendous collections at the box office. With his image and acting, he turned an average action drama into a blockbuster in theatres.

Now, it’s needless to say that the range of expectations for Jawan coming on September 7 is sky-high. The film is being made by Tamil director Atlee, hence the film raises high hopes in South India too.

Getting into the news, more than Jawan, SRK’s other film is making headlines for a few days and it’s the film Dunki which is releasing on December 22. The film has more hype than Jawan in Bollywood. The inside talk is that Shah Rukh is going to be seen in a never-before avatar in this social entertainer which is coming under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. After the 2018 Sanju, Rajkumar Hirani took a gap of six years, so the audience’s excitement is panning wide. Taapsee Pannu is playing the heroine in Dunki.

Media talk is that Jio Cinemas paid literally 155 crores for its OTT rights. This is the first time that such a price has been paid for digital rights in a single language without dubbing in other languages. Only the Hindi version was dealt with at this rate. There is a chance of streaming as early as possible.

Achieving such a big record is not a common thing. Dunki is going to be the biggest boost for Jio Cinema, which has been releasing new movies successively for the last three months with the aim of entering the OTT giant sector.
