Manoj Bajpayee is fed up with the ‘obsession’ with the box office.

Manoj Bajpayee recently discussed the obsession with box office numbers, and how people should demand good stories from filmmakers instead of focusing on churning out blockbusters.

Manoj Bajpayee is without a doubt one of the best actors working today. He was most recently seen in the thriller Joram and is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming black comedy crime thriller Killer Soup, which also stars Konkona Sensharma. Manoj Bajpayee recently discussed people’s obsession with box office numbers in an interview. He claims that there is so much written about it that even the audience has begun speaking in that language. Manoj Bajpayee, on the other hand, believes that people should demand good stories from filmmakers.

Manoj Bajpayee was recently asked in an interview with Puja Talwar about the one change he would like to see in the film industry this year. The Gulmohar actor expressed his desire for the ‘obsession with box office to change.’

“Enough is enough.” We are not doing the industry any favors. Allow those who are investing money to count the footfall. You simply do your job. Let us now discuss the content. Let’s talk about what you saw. Let’s talk about the acting, the direction, and the story. “Let’s make filmmakers tell good stories,” he said. The actor explained that no filmmaker can continue to produce films that earn Rs 600 crore.
