Sashi Kiran Tikka and Adivi Sesh collaborated on the story and screenplay for the 2022 Indian biographical action drama movie Major. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a victim of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, is the subject of the movie. Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Murali Sharma, and Anish Kuruvilla also appear alongside Sesh as Unnikrishnan in the film. The patriotic movie recently made its Gemini TV debut, but compared to how well it did in theatres, it received the lowest TRP rating. In its debut telecast, it only received a 1.87 TRP rating. It has already been broadcast on OTT and has been seen for a considerable amount of time in theatres. Perhaps the lateness of the television channel is to blame for the poor TRP rate.
The major movie got a good response from all over the country. It’s almost collected 60–66 crores. The Hindi version is featured at the 53rd International Film Festival of India in the Indian Panorama section, and this movie is the biggest hit in Adivi Sesh’s career. Adivi Sesh is currently working on the sequel to Goodachari.
