The Pongal came earlier for moviegoers from Kollywood stars Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith King. As the season has a festival, so these two movies are heading to clash with their new releases.
King Ajith came to us with Thunivu ( Thegimpu) and on the other side, Vijay’s Varisu is released on January 11. At first, Varisu should been released on January 12 but the film is released in Tamil language only and the film has been released in Hindi on January 13 and finally in Telugu on January 14.
Varisu ( Varasudu in Telugu) was written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally who knows the commercial tastes well and showed the same on Big screens. The film is out and out and a fresh and good start for Varisu. The film is bankrolled by Ace producer Dil Raju.
Coming to Ajith’s Thunivu (Thegimpu in Telugu), the film is simply superb and has huge positive mouth publicity. The film was directed by H Vinoth Kumar. Boney Kapoor bankrolled for Thunivu.
As the movies are released in Tamil Nadu theatres, the flicks are in a fit state. At the US box office, Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith’s Thunivu surpassed the mark of $300K already.
