“Katrina can’t be a middle-class daughter-in-law” says director of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a colourful retro, 1990s-themed movie that revolves around a middle-class couple who work hard to get married but end up in a divorce court for reasons unknown. This twisty story of two love birds is a romcom with a little suspense that keeps the audience glued to their seats until the end to find out if they patch up again or not. We have two of the best Bollywood actors in modern-time romance as the leads, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal. This new reel couple has bubbled up curiosity in the audience’s minds with director Laxman Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan.

With regards to the lead artists, Sara Ali Khan’s most recent famous song was ‘Chaka Chak’, whereas Vicky Kaushal’s marriage with Katrina Kaif is what grabbed the headlines. Since the audience has shipped them so much, it’s obvious they would prefer to see Vicky and Kat in a love story like this. But, the director has a different perspective to add. In an interview, he expressed, “I can cast her only if she understands my language. Do you think Katrina can fit well as a small-town heroine? If we get a good script, I would love to work with Vicky and Katrina.” He further elaborated that Katrina’s aura and personality don’t fit well with the benchmark of a middle-class bahu, as is expected from Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’s storyline.

Apart from this, the movie is all set to release in cinemas on June 2, 2023, and the promotional events have already started.
