Bollywood famous filmmaker and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director Karan Johar got candid about Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. He revealed that his team wanted Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s cameo in the Tum Kya Mile song from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Well, that would have been a great treat for DDLJ fans.
Karan Johar said that all his films have had a Shah Rukh Khan association, but he did not take his availability for granted in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He said, “The entire AD team would say that the best moment in Tum Kya Mile should be… you track away from Alia (Bhatt) and Ranveer (Singh) and see Shah Rukh and Kajol. You look at them, and Alia realizes this is pure love because they represent love. And I was like, with what kind of guts do I have to go and ask Shah Rukh to not only do the cameo but also come to Kashmir to get into costume”. He was confident that both actors would accept his offer without any doubt; of course, they had been friends for more than 25 years.
Student of the Year director said” I have to pick and choose what to ask. Like I remember when we went as a team to play that massive, impactful cameo in Brahmastra, he looked at us at the end of the day and said, ‘This is Karan. I can’t say no.’ I know that I can’t take that empowered feeling for granted. I can’t keep going back.”
