Is The Exorcist: Believer a prequel to the Salem witch trials? Chip in to know the details!

The Exorcist: Believer

The Exorcist: Beliver is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Petter Stellar and David Gordon Green. Universal Pictures released new trailers for the film.

It is the sixth instalment in The Exorcist Franchise and will be a direct sequel to The Exorcist(1973). Ellen Burstyn reprised her role as Chris Macneil from the original film.

The film follows Angela and her friend Katherin, who disappear in the wood, and only return three days later with no memory of what happened to them; it unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor to seek out the only person alive who has witnessed anything like it before.

There are a lot of references to the original movie, and it’s hard to live up to the hype of the original film 50 years ago, but director David Gordon Green did a pretty job in doing that. The direction, cinematography and screenplay are perfect and contributed significantly to the hype.

The trailer is groundbreaking and terrifying. Both girls did a fantastic job; their performances were top-notch for the film. Background score- that piano sound and heartbeat sync are horrifying and mortifying.

At the end of the trailer, both girls are in the hospital, which resembles the Salem witch trials, but there is no official confirmation from the team. Let’s wait for October 13, 2023.
