Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan got engaged to Nupur Shikhare last November. Ira and Nupur who have dated for considerable years have finally locked the date for their wedding. Aamir Khan also confirmed that the soon-to-be husband and wife would get married on January 3.

Ira Khan took to her social media platform Instagram to announce their wedding festivities had begun. Ira Khan posted a series of pictures where the couple are seen celebrating Kelvan, an important ritual in Marathi weddings with their close family and friends.
Kelvan is a Marathi wedding ritual where parents of both soon-to-be couples come for a pre-wedding meal before the wedding. The ceremony marked the presence of Reena Dutta along with Nupur Shikhare’s family. Both sides of the family bless the couple with gifts and with tokens of love.

Ira Khan also shared an emotional and heartfelt post about her beau Nupur Shikhare and thanked him for his presence in her hard times and low times and also for having a strong impact on her life. Aamir Khan also said he considers Nupur as his son who has arms like Popeye and is a trainer.
