You’d be lying if you said you’ve never fantasized about an Indian version of your favourite K-drama. My sincere apologies to those daydreamers because now it has to come to an end. Because it’s going to be real! Our Indian Cinema and Korean Cinema have decided to partner up and bring forth an amazing rendition of one of the most loved K-dramas of all time – Suspicious Partner featuring Ji Chang Wook & Nam Ji Hyun.
The Hindi adaptation is produced by Jio Studios and will be released in the other half of this year. On the forefront, two of our finest yet least recognized gems have been handpicked for this masterpiece remake – Barkha Singh and Angad Bedi. About the former artist, she’s seen a lot on YouTube platforms like PopXo, Filtercopy and Pinkvilla. Other than that, she’s also done the famous MTV Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
Regarding the latter, he’s mostly seen on the negative spectrum of characters in films. Pink, Tiger Zinda Hai, and F.A.L.T.U are some examples. However, with this adaptation, Angad Bedi will get to expand his genres, since Suspicious Partner is a 2017 rom-com about two lawyers who fall in love – one of them is arrested for murder. Noh Ji-uk (Ji Chang-wook) is a prosecutor and Eun Bong-hi (Nam Ji-hyun) is a lawyer who briefly works for him during her training.
Reportedly, this is Barkha and Angad’s first collab directed by Karan Darra. All K-drama fans, tighten your seatbelts!
