Gadar 2 heading towards Bollywood’s industry hit

Gadar 2

Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” is currently on a rampage at the box office, and judging by its performance, it seems that the film’s impressive run won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Capitalizing on today’s national holiday, the movie is projected to gather around 57 crore net, a figure that is nothing short of sensational. This estimate surpasses the collection from Sunday, indicating the film’s strong momentum. Industry experts are confident that the movie is on track to achieve the coveted status of being Bollywood’s highest-grossing film in India.

Today, the film has surpassed the remarkable milestone of 200 crore net earnings. With projections for the next five days pointing towards an impressive total of approximately 230 crores, the movie’s performance remains stunning. Furthermore, advance bookings for tomorrow are robust, suggesting another healthy day of collections. Should this positive trend persist, it’s highly likely that the film will shatter the existing all-time record held by “Pathaan” [525 crore net] in India.

Even though it faced competition from Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2,” leading to limited screenings, especially in multiplexes, “Gadar 2” has achieved remarkable success at the box office. In Sunny Deol’s four-decade-long career, the film has already become his most significant success. The 65-year-old actor has extended his heartfelt thanks to audiences everywhere for showing such immense love and support for the movie.

Helmed by Anil Sharma, “Gadar 2” features Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in prominent roles and employs CGI to bring the late Amrish Puri back to the screen.

Serving as a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster, the film is set in the 1970s and revolves around the character Tara Singh, portrayed by Sunny Deol, as he embarks on a mission to rescue his son in Pakistan.
