Dil Raju was surrounded by a lot of controversies in Tollywood because of his Varisu film release in Tollywood for Sankranthi.
Now, the producer was struck with struggle even in Kollywood after he made certain remarks on Sankranti’s big releases which include Ajith’s Thunivu and Vijay’s Varisu. The tug-of-war between Vijay’s fans and Ajith’s fans isn’t new and mutual mocking and trolls have always been there. But Dil Raju added fuel to it.
Udayanidhi Stalin, who is a distributor of Ajith’s Thunivu, clearly stated that though their party is ruling, both films shall receive an equal number of screens without any partiality. But, Dil Raju, who is a producer for Varisu, said that Vijay is a bigger star than Ajith and that Varisu must be allowed more screens. This made Ajith fans angry and all of them started showing their discontent with this statement while many Vijay fans retaliated to this by supporting Dil Raju.
Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and is to hit screens on January 12th with the title Varasudu in Telugu. On the other hand, Thunivu directed by Vinodh. H is going to release on January 11th 2023, a day before Varisu.
