Did you know how Shaam landed in his first debut film as a hero?

Shamshuddin Ibrahim, popularly known by his stage name is a Tamilian who started his career as a model in Bangalore. Shaam who turned 46 yesterday on 4th April 2023, is one of the most talented artists in the industry. Shaam is highly recognized, by most masses for his performance in hit films like Kick and Race Gurram.

Shaam meets director Jeeva:

The Varisu actor started his career as a model. Shaam recollects that when he met director Jeeva to hand over his portfolio, was when Jeeva saw him first. Jeeva then asked the actor to introduce himself in Tamil instead of English, which landed him in his first debut film. The director was looking for a new hero for his directorial debut.

Shaam’s first theatrical appearance happens to be SJ Surya‘s Kushi where he played a cameo role. His debut film had a few production issues. Eventually 12B Jeeva’s directorial, was released in 2001 marking his debut as a male lead. Shaam’s first Telugu performance has gained him praise, soon his performances in Kathi and Race Gurram are still appreciated greatly. The actor has last appeared in Varisu and is currently filming for his next untitled project.
