Young Tiger NTR is shooting for Devara, and the team announced an April 5th, 2024, release at a pan-Indian scale. Koratala Siva is the director, and Janhvi Kapoor is making her Tollywood debut with Devara.
The movie is now out of the summer race for various reasons. The film’s lead antagonist, Saif Ali Khan, underwent surgery, and he needs more time to recover and return to the sets. With the Assembly and Parliament elections scheduled in AP, Devara’s team also wanted to push for the film’s release.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the ongoing schedule, which was supposed to last for a few weeks more, has now been halted, and a new schedule will begin once Saif gets well. The delays and postponements bring about increased costs, pressure, and expectations. Given the director’s previous setback with “Acharya,” there is heightened scrutiny on Koratala.
Despite concerns, it’s worth noting Koratala’s efficiency in completing the shoot of a significant VFX-heavy film within one year, excluding pre-production time. Fans of Jr NTR are unhappy about wasting the actor’s talent and time with delays, as in the last six years, he only did two films.
