Two of the movies which have attracted the eyeballs from the trailers are Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara and Nikhil Siddartha’s Karthikeya 2. Bimbisara is about a cruel emperor in the distant past who is incarnated again in the modern world but lives a good samaritan. The heavy CG and action-packed trailer have already created interest and good hype around the film. So much so that there are a lot of offers lined up for the film’s director Mallidi Vashist. On the other hand, Karthikeya 2 revolves around the mystical city of Sri Krishna Dwaraka. This movie too has an intriguing plotline and being the sequel of superhit Karthikeya, there are a lot of expectations.
At first, Karthikeya 2 is set to be released on July 22nd. But Dil Raju moves his production Thank You film from July 8th to 22nd and asked the Karthikeya team to postpone their film. They obliged the request of the producer and moved on to August 5th. But, Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara is being released on the same date and now, they are facing the fire. As a result, it’s being said that the Bimbisara makers are pushing Karthikeya 2’s team to postpone further and release on another date. But, the latter movie team is not in the mood to postpone yet again, which might bring negative vibes to the film. As a result, there is a clash between the two films’ teams, they say. It has to be seen if one of them will take a step back or both will release their movies on the 5th itself.
