Will Dil Raju Risk Again?

Dil Raju is known to be one of the clever businessmen in Tollywood. His clarity in selecting scripts and executing projects with exciting combos is what has set him different from other producers. But one area that has not been cracked by him is the Bollywood market. He alongside Allu Aravind and Suresh Babu is known to be a very meticulous and efficient producer. While Suresh Babu is mostly opting for OTTs nowadays, Allu Aravind is relatively lying low, mostly concentrating on his AHA OTT. He was earlier successful in Bollywood with the Ghajini remake. Dil Raju too is trying to emulate Aravind by remaking superhit South Movies into Hindi but is on a failure track.

Raju remade the Telugu superhit movie Nani’s Jersey into Hindi with Shahid Kapoor as the lead. The flick was an utter flop and was said to have collected just Rs 27 Crores for a movie with more than a Rs 100 Crores budget. It’s one of the biggest shocks for Raju. Then, he tried his luck again by remaking Viswaksen’s Hit movie with the same name. The remake has Raj Kumar Rao and Sanya Malhotra as the lead pair. This movie too, which was released yesterday, i.e, on Friday, has bombed at the box office. With the consecutive disasters in Bollywood, the cine observers are saying that it would be better for Raju to stay in Tollywood rather than trying to understand the Bollywood market and lose his hard-earned bucks in that process. But, the ace producer does not seem to be afraid. He is now planning to remake Allari Naresh’s Nandi film in Hindi. Its remake rights were already bought by him. The producer is yet again trying his luck. We will have to see if he will at least be successful with this latest project.
