The period drama is a fictionized retelling based on true events focusing on the Prithviraj Chauhan, a former King of the Chahamana dynasty. Akshay Kumar plays the lead role in the film as the character.
The story follows Prithviraj Chauhan’s battle with Muhammad Ghori, the Sultan of the Ghurid Empire. The film is adapted from Braj Bhasha’s epic poem, Prithviraj Raso.
The film will portray the life and heroism of the fearless king as he bravely fought against Muhammad of Ghor.
The trailer of the film was released earlier this month. Later, Akshay Kumar talked about the same and mentioned how he feels humbled that people want to connect to the most ‘glorious tribute’ to the brave warrior.
Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Sakshi Tanwar, Ashutosh Rana, Lalit Tiwari, and Manav Vij essay other essential characters in the film. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film is produced by Yash Raj Films.
