In response to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for participation from civil society, IIFA, and the United States launched Be Water + initiative in partnership with the AuqaKraft Foundation. Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao, Dia Mirza, and Rakul Preet Singh supported by singing the ”Be Water + pledge”.
United Nations India and International Film Festival Awards [IIFA] have come together to harness the culture and creativity for climate change, protection of natural resources and sustainable development . The UN India joins hands with IIFA this year to broadcast the message ”SAVE WATER ” and to mobilize audiences across the world to save our only home.
Dia Mirza who is a UN Environment’s goodwill brand ambassador signed the ”Be Water + pledge”. Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh took the lead by supporting the initiative. Both actors are performing at the IIFA Awards 2023 to be held at Ethihad Arena in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on May 26.
