Ajay Devgn Starrer ‘Maidaan’ is a sports biographical drama set in the golden era of football (1952-1962). The film is based on the true life of the famous football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who led the Indian football team for 13 years and laid the foundation of modern Indian football.
The movie has been delayed so many times for release since 2019. A much-awaited film is the life of legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is considered the architect of modern Indian football.

As per reports, the movie is scripted with football as its main subject and will also be released in Bengali, considering the passionate football fanbase in West Bengal. If the reports are accurate, this will be the first bi-lingual film for Ajay Devgn. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh.
It was helmed by Amit Ravidernath Sharma and bankrolled by Zee studios associated with Bayview Projects LLP. AR Rahman composed the music for the film as everyone knows he can deliver the songs that connect to people’s hearts.
