This week, on Friday, February 23, two Bollywood movies will clash at the box office. Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370’ and Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal starrer ‘Crakk’ will lock horns at the box office. Both films are of entirely different genres and will attract their respective audiences.
According to trade experts, the buzz of ‘Article 370’ is superior to that of ‘Crakk’. Let us predict the box office collection given the weights of respective films. Yami Gautam’s film is currently leading at the booking status, given the fact that the film has generated enough buzz since the trailer launch.
Vidyut Jammwal’s Crakk is lagging as the film has nothing new to offer if we go by the trailer. The buzz around the film could be more interesting so that the booking reaction could be more robust.
Yami Gautam’s film has the advantage of including a special mention by PM Modi and a flat ticket price of ₹99 this Friday. Given the advances, Crakk is set to open at the box office with an opening day collection of 2-2.5 cr, while Yami Gautam’s film is all set to take a bare minimum opening of Rs 3.5 to 4.5 cr opening.
Article 370 is off to a promising start over the first weekend and can potentially become a big money maker, especially at the domestic box office. Crakk, also starring Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi, and Amy Jackson, will decide its future after finishing the first weekend with decent numbers.
