AR Rahman’s Chennai concert gets cancelled

AR Rahman was getting ready to perform at a concert in Chennai. Unfortunately, the event had to be canceled due to rain. The musician explained that the adverse weather conditions in Chennai forced the concert’s cancellation. However, a new concert date will be announced shortly.

Earlier, AR Rahman had shared his enthusiasm about visiting the city and meeting his fans. He tweeted, “To all my wonderful friends attending the Chennai concert tonight, I’m really looking forward to seeing you after such a long time! Please arrive early and secure your seats to ensure you have a memorable concert experience.

However, AR Rahman has provided a recent update regarding his Chennai concert. He informed me that there was water stagnation at the concert venue.

He posted a message on Twitter that said, “Dear Friends, Due to unfavorable weather conditions and continuous rainfall, it has become necessary, for the well-being and safety of my dear fans and friends, to postpone the concert to the soonest available date as advised by the relevant authorities. Further information about the new date will be shared shortly. Take care. EPI @actcevents @btosproductions (sic).”

In the meantime, the ARR Film Festival took place from August 4 to August 9. Providing information about the event, AR Rahman had previously expressed, “Honoring 30 years of affection! Thankful for the amazing love and encouragement I’ve received from each one of you, whether nearby or distant. Your generosity and friendliness have deeply moved me on this path. Here’s to creating many more years of treasured moments with each other (sic)!”

AR Rahman started his career with the movie ‘Roja’ in 1992.
