Unexpected romance at Coachella
After her recent ex-husband backtracks on his promises to oversee the vacation, the trailer shows Hathaway’s Solène taking her 16-year-old daughter to Coachella. While at the event, she has an unexpected romance with August Moon’s lead singer, Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), who is part of the world’s hottest boy band.
The movie puts Hathaway alongside Nicholas Galitzine (Bottoms, Red, White & Royal Blue) as pop star “Hayes Campbell,” which sounds like a bad fake name until you think about the name “Harry Styles.” “I’m too old for you,” Hathaway says in the trailer.

Lee, the novel’s author, sheds light on the story’s inception, drawing parallels with enigmatic British pop star Harry Styles.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the character of Hayes Campbell, Lee acknowledges the subtle influence of Styles’ persona, stating, “The seed was planted” after delving into the world of One Direction in 2017.
She remarked, “This was never supposed to be a book about “Harry Styles”. It was supposed to be a story about a woman approaching 40 and reclaiming her sexuality and rediscovering herself.”

Helmed by director Michael Showalter and penned by Jennifer Westfeldt, “The Idea of You” promises to enchant audiences with its captivating portrayal of love in its myriad forms and is set to premiere on May 2 on Prime Video.
