Deepika will play Padma, the wife of Kalki, portrayed by Prabhas. The Padma persona is portrayed as the reincarnation of Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity.
The protagonist, Kalki, is the final avatar of Lord Vishnu, who aims to restore morality in the Kali Yuga era. Deepika’s involvement lends dimension to the film’s overall concept of good vs evil in a great conflict.
