Anirudh Ravichandran, the music director of Atllee’s directorial Jawan, in a recent pre-release event at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, said that Jawan is not a Hindi film; it’s an Indian film. The event will be telecasted on Sun TV on 3 September.
Jawan is an action thriller film directed by Atlee that follows Vikram, a commando who sets out to rectify societal wrongs with the help of a group of women. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, South superstar Nayanthara, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra. The film marks Atlee’s Bollywood directorial debut. The film is already trending for its songs on social media.
The film is produced by GauriKhan and Gaurav Verma under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment with an estimated budget of 300 crores and is scheduled to hit the theatres on 7 September in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. The film is the first Indian film to be released in the IMAX Leonaberg, the largest cinema theatre in the world.
