Acharya is a huge debacle for Tollywood in 2022. The answer to the question of why was the movie a flop show is yet to be known. According to sources, it’s not entirely director Koratala Siva’s fault regarding the flop narration of the movie. In fact, he actually thought of a different script but was forced to make changes in his script according to the requirement of Megastar which was later proved to be unsuccessful. Though Koratala was not wholly responsible for the poor result, it’s said that he is bearing the major brunt of the damage. According to trade sources, the distributors of Acharya are facing losses of around a whopping 95 Crores. As it was Koratala behind Warangal Srinu who sold the movie for a huge price, Siva spoke with Acharya distributors & agreed to compensate them as much as possible.
The sources say that Koratala is returning Rs. 25 crores to the distributors! Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are giving back Rs. 10 crores together. Along with the amount, it’s known that the Megastar has agreed to sell Godfather rights for a less price to the distributors, which may help them in coping with the losses. Well, this may help the distributors who were neck-deep in losses. Meanwhile, Godfather is a remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer which starred Mohanlal in it. Directed by Mohan Raja, the movie will have Bollywood Megastar Salman Khan in a key role. Chiranjeevi will also be seen in Meher Ramesh’s Bhola Shankar and Bobby’s Walteru Veeraih projects. On the other hand, Koratala is busy providing final touches to the NTR30 movie and will be going to schedules in the next month.
