As Vijay Deverakonda’s next movie’s title is revealed to be Kushi, there is a mixed bag of reactions and emotions on social media. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film’s first look is released today. Titled Kushi, the movie has Samantha starring alongside Vijay and takes place in Jammu and Kashmir. As few are supporting the title, mostly Power Star fans are not at all happy with the title. They are questioning the movie team if there isn’t another Telugu word that can be an apt title for the VD movie rather than their idol’s blockbuster.
The name Khushi is very special to PSPK fans. It’s the movie that was released while Pawan was exactly at the pinnacle of his career and at the peak of his prowess. It was the last sensational true blockbuster to PSPK. Even though later films like Gabbar Singh and Attarintiki Daredhi were superhits, Khushi is a cult film and has a lot of fans who still drool over the scenes in the movie. On the other hand, the movie team is standing firm on their decision to use the word Kushi as the tile and is requesting the fans to be supportive. The reason for using that title will be known once people watch the film, says the Kushi team. Anyway, VD has generated enough interest in his film by naming it Kushi. Will it be a cult blockbuster like Pawan’s Khushi? We will have to wait and see.
