Director Nitin Desai
Renowned art director Nitin Desai(57) in the Bollywood film industry was found dead in his studio this morning. He was known for creating magnificent sets of many Sanjay Leela Bhansali films.
Nitin Chandrakant Desai was found dead at his N D Studio in Kajrat on Wednesday morning. The police are yet to investigate the case to reveal further details.
Nitin was a four-time national award winner for Best Art Direction. He worked with several reputed directors over two decades. He was even honored by the Prestigious Art Directors’ Guild Film Society and American Cinematheque in Hollywood.
Film personalities like Riteish Deshmukh, Siddharth Basu, and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Parineeti Chopra, Vivek Agnihotri, Sanjay Gupta along with many others paid tributes to the director calling him a genius and a Positive Soul.
Some of his famous films are Devdas, Jodha Akbar, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and Bajirao Mastani among others.
