20 Years of Wrong Turn: A Great Slasher Horror Franchise

The 2003 American horror movie Wrong Turn was written and directed by Rob Schmidt. Desmond Harrington, Eliza Dushku, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Jeremy Sisto are the movie’s main actors. With a $12.6 million budget, this movie made $28.7 million in US box office revenue.

After their cars collide, Chris and a group of five friends are left stranded in the midst of the woods. They confront an unpredictable and terrifying fate as they travel further into the woods.

Alan B. McElroy is the author of the American slasher film franchise Wrong Turn. Seven films make up the series; six of them follow the same plot, while the other two are reboots. The first six films are centred on different families of malformed cannibals who hunt and murder individuals in West Virginia in horrifying ways using a combination of traps and weapons. In the reboot, a Virginia cult with a long history attacks outsiders who try to enter their peaceful society with violence.

Around the world, this series has a sizable cult following. This movie is commemorating its 20th birthday right now. This film’s first part was released on May 30, 2003. Fans are recalling the memories on the occasion of the 20th anniversary.
