GenZ is one of those generations that evolved with technical advancements, from telephones to mobile phones; this generation grew up witnessing all of them. The world also saw various changes and astonishing innovations, but one thing that has yet to change is comparisons. Previously, it was just close family or a friend who played a crucial part in our lives, but social media has become both a boon and a curse in the past few years. Sometimes, it is us judging another individual; sometimes, it is us becoming prey to judgements and comparisons.
For instance, previously, it was some Dur Ki Chachi Ji (distant aunt) who would humiliate an individual for the way they look, which probably enabled the previous generation to let go of that comment as their thought and relation is equally distant and is never going to meet that of yours, but what happened now. The world has become smaller with the help of social media; now, it is not just the far relative but also a keyboard warrior who doesn’t have a face and takes pride in commenting on another individual’s looks.
Sometimes the chatter gets to load that GenZ and probably every such individual finds it hard to believe themselves and end up doubting their beliefs and principles, the societal standards, the amount of content being consumed through social media and the mainstream cinema has impacted the GenZ to act in a certain way. Rather than arguing and pointing fingers at this thought of theirs, figuring out a solution could not just make or break a look but also a better future that awaits all of us.
Everyone is beautiful, and what makes them attractive is not feeling embarrassed for what they are but embracing themselves for what they are. Saying, “Everyone is beautiful” is easy, but seeing whether you are lovely or not is what matters, and that brings us to this reminder that you might have had it hard till now; people probably failed to see how attractive and lovely you look, then why do you blame yourself for their incapability, you are loved, by the right ones so be that right person by loving yourself first.
