Cillian Murphy reveals why fans will never see Oppenheimer’s deleted scenes

Cillian Murphy on Oppenheimer’s deleted scenes:

Oppenheimer has easily emerged as one of the most successful films of the year so far. With a movie as magnanimous as this fans were hoping that they would get to see some deleted scenes that might have been edited out or re-shot to make it this perfect.

However, Cillian Murphy the films leading man and namesake revealed that there are no deleted scenes in the film. While talking to a popular news outlet. The Peaky Blinders actor shared that Christopher Nolan has a very precise and exact vision for his films on the whole but especially this one.

He stated that the script was followed to a tee and every scene and shot was well thought out. He said that there is no unused or extra footage and that every bit of the script was shot and used with no room for unwanted scenes to be edited out.
The 47-year-old actor went on to say “There are no deleted scenes in Chris Nolan movies.” He clarified, “That’s why there are no DVD extras on his movies because the script is the movie.”
The director believes in not utilizing or showcasing deleted scenes as he believes audiences will choose to focus on what was left out rather than enjoy what is shown on screen.

Keeping this in mind the director aims to shoot only what is essential to the film leaving out what may interfere with the cinematic experience.
Oppenheimer is a documentary-style film taking a look at R.J. Oppenheimer, the man that changed the way wars are fought.  The movie stars Cillian Murphy Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, etc. in prominent roles. The film is having a blockbuster run at the box office worldwide and still sold out after 2 weeks after its release.
