Upcoming Tamil film Regina released it’s trailer yesterday while teaser was released by actor Arya last week. Film teaser received good response from the audience. Actress was praised for her performance in the movie as she does action scenes. Touted to be an crime action thriller, this film is a Female centric film. Talking about action and stunt sequences, Actress explains the challenges she faced making this movie.
Actress said she had to unveil all the fears she has while shooting for the action sequences for this film. She was terrified with some stunt performances as her fear for heights made it more complicated. Director and the team along with her has reached a steep slope near Munnar in Kerala as only few kind of vehicles are allowed since the slope is very vertical. Even the surface on the hill is rocky and the Jeep actress has sat have to inch up bit by bit. She claims even though the stunt men are very professional following all the rules and safety precautions, she was clenching her jaw in fear as she shouldn’t portray her fearful expressions for the scene.
For another shot in Pollachi, She was sitting and watching the stunt men performing a high octane action sequences and was cool thinking her role will be played by a dupe but then director called her and made her sit in the chasing car where all the cars in the shoot are racing at equal ratio. She says she was tensed that she had to come out take time to compose herself before going back to shoot again.
She has to go through these fears every time there are Stunt shots in the film where she had to participate as the cameras are mounted from all the sides even inside car. In all spills and spins revolving around actress, director has kept her safe by stopping the shoot every time he found things too risky for the shot.
Talking about the movie, Actress says She got to experience everything she disliked as she has to handle guns for several shooting scenes and practiced with dummy guns to perfect the shot without flinching. But now is confident enough to do the shooting scenes in any film. This movie turned the actress who would flinch over crack burst sounds to the one shooting guns for film is why she is now overcome her few fears she had in her life.
Directed by Domin D’silva, Movie talks about a simple common woman whose life changes after a bank robbery. This film is produced by Sathish Nair under Yellow Bear Productions.
