Social media users are raving about Anurag Kashyap’s most recent Instagram photo. The filmmaker has targeted those in the industry who are novices and attempt to take shortcuts. Anurag Kashyap is one of the Bollywood directors who has helped many newcomers make their names in the industry. Nawazuddin Siddiqui gained notoriety despite his protracted battles because of Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur and Sacred Games. However, the director has said, “I could have spent more time helping many beginners and is tired of people looking for shortcuts”.
Anurag Kashyap recently spoke candidly about the state of the industry at an event in Kolkata. According to the director, there are two types of filmmakers: opportunists and those who want to make movies and money.

Anurag Kashyap is causing quite a stir on social media with his most recent Instagram post, where he criticizes people who want to be launched by him but are not talented. The director wrote to people who wanted to meet with him for the project, saying he was tired of “mediocre s*it” and would charge for their time.
The post read, “I wasted a lot of time trying to help newcomers and mostly ended up with mediocre s*it. So, from now on, I don’t want to waste my time meeting random people who think they’re creative geniuses. So, I will now have rates. If someone wants to meet me for 10-15 minutes, I will charge 1 lac, for a half hour 2 lacs, and 1 hour 5 lacs. That’s the rate. I am tired of wasting time meeting people. If you think you can afford it, call me or stay the f*ck away. And all paid in advance.” Captioning the post, Anurag wrote, “And I mean it. Don’t text, DM, or call me. Pay, and you will get time. I am not a charity and tired of people looking for shortcuts.”
