Vidhu Vinay Chopra’s recently released film 12th Fail was getting love from all over the world and became one of the majorly praised movies. It was released on October 27, 2023, but the audience is still in love with the film, and the fame is getting high daily. Bollywood filmmakers are highly impressed with Vidhu’s work and showing their love. After Rohit Shetty, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap expressed his admiration by saying the film is a ‘benchmark’.
On Friday, January 12, Anurag Kashyap took to his Instagram to share a poster of 12th Fail and penned a long appreciation note. He started, “Probably the best mainstream film I’ve seen in 2023. Vidhu, at the age of 71, has crafted a masterpiece out of a simple story of an adamant man wanting to be more than what life gives him. He goes and takes what he wants and how.”
In the middle of the note, Anurag raised the work of Vidhu and stated, “What amazed me about the film is how he breaks all conventions of mainstream and has scenes done in simple long shots.. the crowd scenes of Mukherji nagar which feels like the camera just happened to watch the story unfold without disturbing the atmosphere.”
As advice to the 12th Vail director, Anurag hilariously ended the note by writing, “Love you, VVc, for inspiring me. May you never really grow up and always be the troublesome brat that you are even at 71. Just big big hug and love to you. And I am ready to #restart.”
