Saif Ail Khan finally reacts to Adipurush’s failure

Saif Ali Khan as ‘Ravan’ in Adipurush

The vast budget and highly anticipated mythological movie Adipurush have ultimately disappointed the audience and led to many controversies. After the film’s failure, only the writer Manoj Muntashir addressed the failure and talked openly about the criticism and content, and the cast and crew chose to stay out of the matter.

Recently, Saif Ali Khan, who played the role of Ravan in the film, has reacted to the failure. he humorously started by saying, “I’m not star enough to pull off anything.” and concluded by saying,” “People say, ‘That was a brave choice…’ You talk about Adipurush, for example. People talk about risks, but if you fall on your face, it’s not a risk really. You have to have a few of those also, and it’s a part of the approach. You have to shrug it off, feel bad, and say, ‘Nice try, but bad luck, let’s go to the next one’.”

He also talked about facing reality, as in criticism and comments from the audiences, and staying true to oneself after that. he said, “It’s nice to be realistic, and I’ve never actually thought of myself as a star, and I don’t want to also. I like being a star, but I don’t want to be delusional. My parents are big stars, but very realistic, very normal. There’s so much more in life to be real about, my focus has always been on that… The idea is not to be scared of failing.”

Adirpurush was released in June last year. It is based on the mythological epic Ramayana. It starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. The movie was made with a whooping budget of 600 crores but was both a critical and box-office failure.
