The year 2023 has been fantastic for the actress thus far; Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani became one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema history and now the actress has won a National Award after taking home the Best Actress trophy at the 69th National Film Awards. The honor went to Alia and her movie Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia Bhatt received congratulations for winning the National Award from SS Rajamouli, one of the renowned Indian filmmakers, a while back. He added a lovely message as well.
Alia Bhatt received her first national award on August 24. For her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, she won the Best Actress prize. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli congratulated Alia on winning the National Award via Twitter. He noted: “Gangu chaand thi, aur chaand hi rahegi..Our Seetha, Alia, deserves congratulations for taking home the prized award for Gangubai Kathiawadi.”
After his daughter received the National Award, Mahesh Bhatt publicly expressed his emotions. He stated: “As I see my child win the national award for Best Actress for Gangubai, I am overcome with pride and happiness. Our entire family is overjoyed that she used her talent and commitment to make her goal come true.”
